However even in the face of these difficulties, LOF simulation is such a powerful technique for investigating the deliverability and behaviour of production systems, it was almost inevitable that it would eventually become the preferred approach. Maximus has been designed with LOF simulation in mind and is therefore very efficient at performing simulations of this type.
