Pipeline Between Source and Sink
This simple example has a gas-oil-water mixture (GOR 100 scf/stb, Watercut 10%) being supplied by the source at a pressure of 100 bara and a temperature of 100C, that flows along the pipeline arriving at the sink at a pressure of 80 bara.
Simple Maximus Model of Pipeline Between Source and Sink
Maximus solves this example as a pressure bounded problem and calculates the flow rate required to match the two pressure boundary conditions. The predicted flow rate is about 20 kg/s. The pressure and temperature profiles are shown in the figure below. These profiles (and the plotted data) are generated automatically by Maximus and can be easily copied into other software, such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
