Integrated Production Modelling for Integrating Design Teams
The course is aimed at Petroleum, Reservoir and Facilities Engineers and Project Managers keen to learn how modern Integrated Production Modelling software can help the efficient flow of information between key design disciplines.
As the techno-economic feasibility of new oil and gas projects becomes more challenging, the need to reduce design margins, assess emerging production technologies and accelerate front end design is becoming evermore apparent. When done correctly, Integrated Production Modelling can mean more than simply modelling the reservoir, wells and flowlines at the same time, it can integrate design disciplines into one team.
The course takes a series of case studies in which attendees will build their own Integrated Production Models and communicate with other disciplines to generate a robust system design.
Attendees require their own laptops with Windows operating system, onto which an evaluation license of a modern Integrated Production Modelling Package, Maximus, will be installed on the day.
The course will be run by Dr Martin J Watson, who has over ten years experience in Integrated Production Modelling and has worked on the conceptual design of several major projects, including all of BP Angola's deepwater developments.
